Family Pictures 2019 & Life Update!

Family Pictures 2019 & Life Update!

Say hello to the Valenzuela family, 2019 edition! These photos were super last minute, and thanks to our angel friend and photographer Brittany, turned out so fun! Getting family pictures gets harder and harder as Kai gets older, but I love how you can see his personality shining through in them. He is constantly smiling and running around. His little laugh is infectious and theres nothing I love more than watching those curls bounce around! So since blog posts are few and far between these days, I thought I would do a little life update with each member of our family. Let’s do it! Kai- Just turned 3 in June and is all things BOY. He constantly begs to be out digging in the dirt, playing in the hose, or a really messy combination of both! His speech has improved immensely and we are so proud of how hard he works at therapy sessions. We just singed him up for T-Ball in the Fall and are SOOO excited to watch him! Just one more month of Summer then this sweet boy is off to his second year of preschool. So far this Summer he’s been loving our mini road trips to St. George, Lake Powell, and Lagoon! He even got to stay in Grandma and Grandpa’s new motorhome and thought

Draper James x Tryall Club

Draper James x Tryall Club

A few weeks ago I got to travel to The Tryall Club in Jamaica with the incredible Draper James team and my new blogger besties Sarah, Sydney, and Steph! We went to shoot their new collection, (it launched yesterday!) and experience the amazing amenities the Tryall Club offers. To say this whole trip was a dream come true would be a huge understatement. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to go! I also have to thank my amazing support system at home because there’s no way I could have made it work without help from my mom, and the best husband holding down the fort. I am the luckiest to have them! Let me give you a little info on these two amazing brands that teamed up to create pure magic! First up: Draper James. This incredible clothing company was founded by Reese Witherspoon and each piece is so classy and feminine. Every dress I wore on the trip made me feel beautiful, elegant, and confident. Even though every item in her collection is stunning, they are still realistic and comfortable for everyday life! I was so impressed with the quality and overall fit of each collection. They have a high end look with a more affordable price tag! Check out the pieces I wore below that are now

2018: My Year in Review

2018: My Year in Review

What. A. Year! 2018 was one I’ll remember forever. It was filled with a lot of happy moments, and quite a few sad ones as well. But without rain there would be no rainbows right? This year taught me a lot of life lessons and I feel like I did a lot more adulting than ever before. I’m so grateful for the memories that 2018 brought me, but I’m so excited for a new year with new goals! Without further ado, here is what my year looked like; month by month. PS- A lot of my photos wouldn’t upload for some reason (sad face) so if it seems like there are some holes, it’s because there are. Technical difficulties, sorry ’bout it. January- This month was full of lot’s of firsts. 2018 started by Ringing in the New Year on the dance floor with my hubs! It was the first time we had ever gone out for New Years Eve and we had a blast. You might not know this but my husband is quite the dancer. He is usually the one dragging me out for a song! I also went on my first mule ride, and attended my first boxing match. It was a really fun-filled month. February- Arguably one of my favorite months (career wise) of the year!

Trail Coffee Roasters

Trail Coffee Roasters

All photos taken by Karen Alvarez Hello my people, Do you remember when you were in elementary school and on the first day your teacher usually made you play like 12 “Get to Know You” games? That way you could learn more about your classmates and at the end of the day you already had a bunch of new friends. I wish they had that in the real world. Meeting friends when you’re an adult is hard. Meeting friends when you’re 23, married, self employed AND a new mom is really hard. That has been our reality for the last year and a half that we’ve lived in NorCal. Don’t get me wrong, I have LOVED hanging with my hubby all the time, and it has definitely made our relationship stronger when we only had each other out here, but a girl has got to have her ladies nights sometimes! I had to put myself out there and seriously try to make buddies. This is super embarrassing and I can’t believe I’m even about to admit this, but at one point I got so desperate for friends that I joined that site meetup.com. If you haven’t heard of it its kind of like E-Harmony for friends. I never actually went to any of the events because I just felt way too
