Draper James x Tryall Club

Draper James x Tryall Club

A few weeks ago I got to travel to The Tryall Club in Jamaica with the incredible Draper James team and my new blogger besties Sarah, Sydney, and Steph! We went to shoot their new collection, (it launched yesterday!) and experience the amazing amenities the Tryall Club offers. To say this whole trip was a dream come true would be a huge understatement. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to go! I also have to thank my amazing support system at home because there’s no way I could have made it work without help from my mom, and the best husband holding down the fort. I am the luckiest to have them! Let me give you a little info on these two amazing brands that teamed up to create pure magic! First up: Draper James. This incredible clothing company was founded by Reese Witherspoon and each piece is so classy and feminine. Every dress I wore on the trip made me feel beautiful, elegant, and confident. Even though every item in her collection is stunning, they are still realistic and comfortable for everyday life! I was so impressed with the quality and overall fit of each collection. They have a high end look with a more affordable price tag! Check out the pieces I wore below that are now

2018: My Year in Review

2018: My Year in Review

What. A. Year! 2018 was one I’ll remember forever. It was filled with a lot of happy moments, and quite a few sad ones as well. But without rain there would be no rainbows right? This year taught me a lot of life lessons and I feel like I did a lot more adulting than ever before. I’m so grateful for the memories that 2018 brought me, but I’m so excited for a new year with new goals! Without further ado, here is what my year looked like; month by month. PS- A lot of my photos wouldn’t upload for some reason (sad face) so if it seems like there are some holes, it’s because there are. Technical difficulties, sorry ’bout it. January- This month was full of lot’s of firsts. 2018 started by Ringing in the New Year on the dance floor with my hubs! It was the first time we had ever gone out for New Years Eve and we had a blast. You might not know this but my husband is quite the dancer. He is usually the one dragging me out for a song! I also went on my first mule ride, and attended my first boxing match. It was a really fun-filled month. February- Arguably one of my favorite months (career wise) of the year!

Fairies, Unicorns & Mermaids!

Fairies, Unicorns & Mermaids!

Play with Fairies, ride a Unicorn, swim with Mermaids, fly to the Moon! #goals am I right?! What’s life without a little imagination?! This t-shirt is one of my most favorite recent purchases. I actually got it from Shein during their huge Black Friday sale. Unfortunately i got the LAST one in stock, but I’ll totally let you know if it comes back. I’ve also found a similar option that i’ll link for you below. Lately I’ve felt a little bored with my content, and I think you guys have too. My engagement has taken a hit on Instagram, and I haven’t felt really proud of my work until this shoot with my favorite photographer ever! Before Britt and I even started taking pictures, we were talking about how we both craved a change in what we were creating. We both felt like we’d gotten too comfortable and weren’t challenging ourselves enough so we thought of some ideas to change things up a bit… hence dancing around in an empty parking lot with direct sunlight haha. But I’m telling you all this because I feel like it’s so important to always keep analyzing what your creating and trying to step it up a notch. I also love working with such talented creatives that I can bounce ideas off of. Surround

All Things LIKEtoKNOW.it!

I know I have been putting this off FOREVER, but I am finally chatting about all things LIKEtoKNOW.it! If you don’t know what LIKEtoKNOW.it is, let me break it down for you. It’s a system that saves SO much time for both bloggers, and consumers. RewardStyle (Creators of LIKEtoKNOW.it) has made it so bloggers can connect an exact or similar item to their Instagram photo. That way when a follower likes or screenshots the photo, they now have access to all the links the blogger has tagged! I used this way before I started blogging to find out where my favorite Insta babes got their outfits and I’m telling you, it is the BEST! It also comes in handy when I post an Instagram outfit that doesn’t make it onto the blog. That way, you can still get those handy-dandy links. Getting set up is super easy: Create an account if you don’t already have one using your email / Instagram. Download the LIKEtoKNOW.it app in the App Store. (You will log in using your Instagram handle) Screenshot LIKEtoKNOW.it – enabled photos via Instagram and get notifications when they are ready to shop. Instantly shop the products featured in the screenshot! All of your likes from Instagram will also be saved in the app for more shoppable images! Another amazing feature LIKEtoKNOW.it has

One Year Blogging Anniversary!

One Year Blogging Anniversary!

Carnations & Lace is officially one! Uhm, WHAT?! I can’t believe that I have already been blogging for a whole year! It seriously feels like just yesterday that I was about to publish my first post, scared to death that no one would read it or even care what I had to say. Now I’m publishing my 108th post with the love and support of my amazing community of readers! I’m sure I would have given up a long time ago if it weren’t for the daily affirmation I get from you guys. Ya’ll are the BEST! It has been a pretty wild year. 12 months full of learning, growing, trial, and PLENTY of error and I want to share a few of the thing’s I’ve come to realize over the last 365 days. It’s okay to say no. – There were plenty of times that I had companies reach out with merchandise and products that didn’t fit my brand, and I had to realize that representing something I don’t 100% believe in isn’t beneficial to anyone. I used to feel like if I wasn’t constantly working with companies, I wasn’t a good blogger. So, I took any opportunity that came my way. In the end, I just came out looking desperate and that’s never a good thing. When I started
