Say hello to the Valenzuela family, 2019 edition! These photos were super last minute, and thanks to our angel friend and photographer Brittany, turned out so fun! Getting family pictures gets harder and harder as Kai gets older, but I love how you can see his personality shining through in them. He is constantly smiling and running around. His little laugh is infectious and theres nothing I love more than watching those curls bounce around! So since blog posts are few and far between these days, I thought I would do a little life update with each member of our family. Let’s do it! Kai- Just turned 3 in June and is all things BOY. He constantly begs to be out digging in the dirt, playing in the hose, or a really messy combination of both! His speech has improved immensely and we are so proud of how hard he works at therapy sessions. We just singed him up for T-Ball in the Fall and are SOOO excited to watch him! Just one more month of Summer then this sweet boy is off to his second year of preschool. So far this Summer he’s been loving our mini road trips to St. George, Lake Powell, and Lagoon! I honestly can’t believe it’s taken me over TWO years of blogging to finally write this post! I guess up until recently, I’ve never been 100% confident in my knowledge and ability to actually apply it. But after LOT’S of YouTube videos, tips from friends, and experimenting with different brands/products, I’m finally ready to share. My routine has actually changed a lot in the past 6 months and I’m feeling so good about it. Below I’ve linked my exact products, how & when I apply them. Let me know if you have any questions! #1- PRIMER: Neutrogena Healthy Skin. I really don’t know how I ever lived without it. Dramatic? Yes, but rightfully so! If you want your makeup to look flawless, you have to start with the right canvas. I just use my hands and rub it all over my face. I started using this primer over the summer and have loved it. The SPF makes me feel good about protecting my skin and the price really can’t be beat! #2- Concealer: Two Faced Born This Way. If you have blemishes, dark circles or acne scarring, finding a good concealer is key. I am so excited that my new brows are officially healed so I can tell you all about the process! I have wanted to have my eyebrows microbladed for years but was super scared that I’d be disappointed with the results after forking up hundreds of dollars. If I would have known then what I know now, I would have jumped on this opportunity without any hesitation! I LOVE the result of my procedures. I feel more confident without makeup, my brows are fuller, and shape my face just the way I want them to. Microblading is definitely an investment, but seriously, SO worth it. I had two different babes work on my brows so I’m going to give you both of their info. My first pass was done by Jessica of Brow Baby Studio. She lives in Fresno, CA but flew out to learn from Liz of Lemons Esthetics (she’s THAT good). Then Liz did my touch up 6 weeks later. They were both seriously amazing and I can’t thank them enough for the TLC they put into my eyebrows. 10/10 would recommend! A few Frequently Asked Questions: Did it hurt? Not really. H A P P Y Monday babes! So unless you’ve been living under a rock the past couple months, I’m sure you’ve seen this toothpaste floating around the internet. And if you’re like me, you probably thought it was a bunch of BS. Well, it wasn’t until one of my best friends (whom I trust with my life) started using it and seeing results that I figured I would give it a go. It’s called AP-24 (because of the active ingredient in it) and i’ve unexpectantly started to really like it. I’m a pretty tough critic when it comes to my teeth, especially since I HAVE to have my morning stain causing coffee to get through the day. Hashtag momlyfe. Anyway, after using this toothpaste twice a day for 2 1/2 weeks, I have definitely noticed my teeth getting brighter without ANY sensitivity whatsoever. Happy FriYAY babes! Today I am sooo excited to show you all my lash transformation! I know I am about 5 years late to the party, but I finally pulled the trigger and got myself some extensions. Now I don’t think I’ll ever be able to live without them! Check out my before pictures below: B E F O R E I’ve always been told I have really great natural lashes (thank you Dad) but NO ONE has lashes that look like extensions. I was shocked at how different they made me look. My favorite part about having them is they make me feel so good about myself! I wake up feeling half way ready and all I have to do is comb them a little bit and I’m good to go. You really can’t beat that!
