My first post of 2018! Hello old friends! If you haven’t noticed, I took a little break from the blog to really enjoy my family and friends during the holidays. It was much needed but I’m feeling so excited to be back in action. I have a lot planned for 2018 and I can’t wait to start sharing details with you all soon! I have adored the menswear trend ever since I saw so many of my favorite blogger babes rocking it at NYFW last Fall, but wasn’t sure I could pull it off. That is until I found this blazer and fell head over heels in love! Santa tucked it under the Christmas tree, and the rest is history. My exact style is sold out, but I’ll let you know if there is a restock. I paired it with a burgundy tank, the most amazing pair of high waisted denim, and my all time favorite white booties from a local boutique. I kind of wish I had some fancy office job to wear this to, but date night with my hubs will have to do haha. What are your thoughts on blazers and menswear in general?! Play with Fairies, ride a Unicorn, swim with Mermaids, fly to the Moon! #goals am I right?! What’s life without a little imagination?! This t-shirt is one of my most favorite recent purchases. I actually got it from Shein during their huge Black Friday sale. Unfortunately i got the LAST one in stock, but I’ll totally let you know if it comes back. I’ve also found a similar option that i’ll link for you below. Lately I’ve felt a little bored with my content, and I think you guys have too. My engagement has taken a hit on Instagram, and I haven’t felt really proud of my work until this shoot with my favorite photographer ever! Before Britt and I even started taking pictures, we were talking about how we both craved a change in what we were creating. We both felt like we’d gotten too comfortable and weren’t challenging ourselves enough so we thought of some ideas to change things up a bit… hence dancing around in an empty parking lot with direct sunlight haha. But I’m telling you all this because I feel like it’s so important to always keep analyzing what your creating and trying to step it up a notch. Holy MIA. Sorry about the absence of blogging lately! My little family has all taken turns getting sick and I am still trying to kick a nasty cold. After two rounds of antibiotics, I’m started to think my immune system is completely broken or something. Mom’s shouldn’t be allowed to get sick, right?! Anywho, let’s chat about this cute pearl embellished tunic/mini dress from Shein. It is surprinsingly great quality and I haven’t lost a pearl yet so I’m feeling real good about this $16 piece. It is a little shorter than I thought it would be so i paired it with OTK boots and it makes it seem a bit longer. I’ll probably throw some leggings under it next time I wear it. For sizing reference, I’m in an XL and its great. TTS for me. After searching for YEARS I have finally found the perfect pair of black OTK boots. I have muscular calfs but the “wide fit” is a little too big on me. Other pairs I’ve tried in the past have either been too tight or not tight enough. Clever blog post title eh? Haha this is why I try not to write posts late at night. The creativity just isn’t there past 9:00am. Also- I realize that’s not too late, but its basically 4:00am in mom time! Kai is going through a little bit of sleep regression, so it’s been a hard couple of days trying to get him back on track. Right when you think you’ve got your kids schedule on lock, they change on you! Motherhood is the craziest thing sometimes. Okay, now on to my outfit! This color combo will always be a go to of mine year round. Rust is one of those shades that is flattering on so many different skin tones, and can go with a lot. I’ve also been reaching for this hat a lot! At first I wasn’t so sure about the Baker Boy trend, but now I can’t get enough! I hope it sticks around for a while. Hat- Found this gem at a local boutique called Urban Blues, but I’ll link some similar styles below. OTK Boots- I get SO many questions about these boots and I wish I had better answers.
