Fall is my very favorite season and as soon as the first leaf hits the ground I go into full basic mode. Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Uggs, and the ‘Leaves’ scent from Bath & Body works burning in my house! There’s just something so amazing about the turn from Summer to Fall. As we’re stuck in this weird limbo between seasons, it’s always hard to dress for. Crisp mornings, warm days, and chilly nights make it a bit tricky picking out outfits everyday so I’ve made a list of my transitional faves! Cardigans: Perfect for taking on and off as the day heats up then cools down again. I also always take a cardi on plane rides for the same reason! If you’re a frequent traveler, invest in a good cardi. Jumpsuits/ Rompers: One of my favorite styles to wear all year long! You can layer a shirt under or wear something on top, and pair with booties! Cord Skirts: The perfect transition piece because the texture screeeeams Fall! I love wearing fun tights under cord skirts and even throwing on OTK boots with them. OTK Boots: It’s hard to find a good pair of over the knee boots, but once you do, they’ll last you forever! How is it already this time of year again?! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is my all time favorite shopping event. I LOVE my sleep so the fact that I’m awake shopping in the middle of the night should speak to how amazing this sale is haha! Before we dive into my top picks, Theres a few things I want to point out. Things to know: – Early Access to the sale (July 12th- 19th) is only for Nordstrom credit/ debit card holders. If you don’t have a Nordstrom card I highly suggest getting one if you want to shop the sale because the most popular items WILL sell out the first few days and sometimes even hours. – A lot of the items marked down are new arrivals for Fall/ Winter and will actually go to full price after the sale is over (if they don’t sell out). It’s like getting a little preview of what the hottest trends will be without having to pay full price. AMAZING! – If you miss something you had your eye on, watch out for restocks. Nordstrom will most likely randomly restock some sizes over the course of the sale. – If you have any Triple Point Days left, USE them on the sale! I save mine all year for it! NOW LET’S SHOP!

Today’s blog post is all about a brand I have loved for years, Sperry! To me, Sperry has always been the epitome of style, quality, and class. My husband has worn Sperry Boat Shoes since the day I met him and he quickly converted me into a fan! In fact, he was wearing them in our very first picture together, and even in some of our engagement photos! It’s safe to say Sperry has been there throughout our entire relationship! Since becoming a mom, comfort is crucial in my everyday wardrobe, and seeing that Sperry has been around since 1935, they have mastered the comfort department. The timeless Sperry Seaport Penny Loafers that I’m wearing, have a leather sock lining and cushioned memory foam so my feet are always happy! Happy Sunday! We’ve had such a crazy Winter in Utah this year. One day it is literally 50 degrees, the next it’s snowing! No joke, that has actually happened! So since it’s been so unpredictable, I’ve been all about the denim jackets. They are one of my favorite transition pieces (another post about this later) and the colored ones are going to be a big trend this Spring! I snagged this light pink distressed denim jacket for less than $30 and it has the most perfect oversized fit! I did size down after reading reviews, but probably would have been fine with my normal size too. In other news, we leave for Mexico in two weeks and I can hardly contain my excitement! But as always, I’m not looking forward to leaving my little human. Motherhood is weird. One second you are absolutely desperate for a break, and then when you get it, you immediately feel guilty for needing it in the first place. UGH! Okay, sorry for the random tangent haha! For Christmas last year, my husband and I decided we wanted to gift each other experiences rather than gifts. So we booked a Spring trip to Mexico with our best friends and couldn’t be more excited for a relaxing vacation on the beach! We are leaving our little man with my parents (his favorite people in the whole entire world) so even though we’ll miss him like crazy, we know he’ll be in the best hands! There’s nothing better than getting all fancied up and celebrating love! I got this pair of these super affordable fishnet tights from Berkshire, and decided I would dress them up for an edgier Valentines Day look. I love how it came together. I also really love how fishnets look under destroyed denim, so that’s probably what I’ll pair them with next!
