2016 was without a doubt the best year my little family has ever had. I got to become a mom to the sweetest little boy and he is the light of my life! I also started this blog in 2016 and it has brought me so much happiness and gives me what feels like a little more purpose in the world. My life definitely changed for the better when I decided to finally take steps in chasing my dreams. Even though the past year has been so great, I have big plans for 2017, and I’m so excited to share my goals with you!

1. Stop doing things I don’t want to do!

Someone I really look up to once told me that successful people don’t do things they don’t want to do and it really resonated with me. Obviously we can’t avoid things like paying bills and grocery shopping but there are some things you can control. If it doesn’t bring me joy, or worse, causes me stress I’m not going to do it. I already feel more free just thinking about it!

2. Honor my curves

I know what you’re thinking, I always talk about body positivity and dressing with confidence no matter your size, but I don’t feel like I have been practicing what I preach as much as I would like to. That ends in 2016! I am going to flaunt my curves without holding back, or worrying what others will think!

3. Be more present

This can be tricky since I am trying so hard to grow my blog and social media presence, but I definitely do want to be on my phone less and be more focused on my family. I have started plugging my phone in to charge downstairs at night, and it has already made a world of difference. I’m also getting more sleep so hallelujah for that!

4. Make it to NYFW

So this one is pretty ambitious but go big or go home right? I’ve only been blogging for a few months and I know it takes bloggers years to to able to get in to shows and all that good stuff, but this is my #1 dream. The fall shows are also right by my birthday sooo hubby, where you at?! (:

5. Read 1 book a month

This is kind of a lame one, but it’s definitely something that is important to me. I used to read soo much before I was a mom and now I just can’t seem to find the time. But, starting now I’m going to make time. Reading always relaxes me, and let’s me escape to another world. I need to do this one for me! If you have any book suggestions in the mystery, self-help, or humor genres let me know!

What are some of your resolutions? I hope you all have a healthy and happy new year!

Xx
