I am so excited to finally be sharing this collaboration with you all because I’ve been really excited about it for weeks! Universal Standard sent me the gorgeous Marano Wrap Top in white, and I am in love. I’m such a huge fan of theirs because they create the most chic clothing all catered to women sizes 10-28! The mission behind their brand is to change the way the world see’s curvy women and most importantly how they see themselves. Every piece they create is simple and comfortable, yet effortlessly stylish and flattering. What more could you want in a clothing brand?

“IT FEELS LIKE WOMEN’S CHOICES AND MODES OF SELF-EXPRESSION ARE RANDOMLY DICTATED BY THEIR SIZE. THAT HAS TO CHANGE, AND WE’RE CHANGING IT.”

– Alex Waldman, Cofounder/CCO

It took me a long time to learn to love my body, so I get extra passionate when working with, and supporting companies that preach body positivity. Of course I absolutely believe that working out and eating the right things are important for your overall mental and physical health, but there is way too much pressure to change your body to fit an unrealistic “standard” these days, and that’s not the kinds of women I want my future daughter to look up to. I want her to see the beautiful ladies of all sizes that aren’t afraid to embrace everything that they are. As long as you are healthy and happy, who cares about a number on a tag? NOT ME! Speaking of which, for sizing reference I am wearing an XS (size 10) in this top and it fits perfectly. Statement pieces like this one are absolutely perfect for date night, drinks with the girls, or even a fun event or party that you want to add a little extra spice to your ensemble for. Sometimes your outfit needs a bit of drama right?!

I paired my new favorite blouse with simple black heels, my most comfortable skinny jeans, and this chic purse that Oliver Bilou sent me! This little lady is named Mia and I am only a little embarrassed to admit that this is my first black handbag… crazy right?! I always reach for the bright colored purses but I love how neutral this one is. With the rose gold hardware, I’ll be able to style it seamlessly all Fall and Winter long. Yay for versatile pieces!

As always, thank you so much for reading. Love yourself, love your people, and have the best day!

Thanks to Universal Standard and Oliver Bilou for sponsoring this post.

xx
